Privacy Policy

Voters

Voting needs no account, name or email. We set one functional cookie (a random token) so your browser can't vote twice in the same poll. We store only a keyed hash of that token per poll, never the token itself. We use your IP address briefly in memory for rate limiting and abuse prevention; we don't store raw IP addresses and we don't fingerprint devices.

Creators

We store your account identifier and email (via our sign-in provider), display name, optional handle, the polls and images you create, and exports we render for you. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.

Analytics

We record first-party product events (for example "poll published" or "vote accepted") without emails, raw IPs or fingerprints. Pseudonymous session hashes are removed after 90 days.

Storage and retention

• Images are stored privately and served through short-lived signed links. Location (EXIF/GPS) data is stripped on upload.
• Upload attempts that are never completed are deleted within 24 hours.
• Deleting your account removes your polls from public view, cancels pending exports, deletes stored images and videos, and cancels your subscription.

Children

HypeVote is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data from the app (Account → Delete account) or by contacting us via the contact page.
